Most anticipated game of all time for me was Diablo 3.

It was also the most dissapointed i have ever been in a game by a long shot.

D2 was amazing, incredible and if it hadn't been for Phantasy Star Online it would have been even more insane (it was already a massive upgrade in pretty much every way).

D3 at launch...sigh...even now to a large extent. It killed so many of the good parts of d2, it was SO freaking easy (and still is as you run a character up) that it puts you to sleep. There is no real character customization (less at launch if you used the auction house at all since you didn't even need to watch for item drops etc).

Removing the RMAH (which I didn't use anyway), certainly didn't fix anything for me.

They basically World of Warcrafted D2...made it simple, took out the only reason I every played D2 over again more then once for each class (I made hundreds of builds in D2 over the years), and even years later with 2 expansions and plenty of updates etc, I would buy a new version of D2 on a portable system over D3 in a heartbeat ( even if it cost more for d2).

At this point though I'm starting to think the point and click interface is dying..and would like to see a real Phantasy Star Online MMO....after they make a good anime for it, and then make the MMO kinda like Sword Art Online (yup...with VR as well, at least the head sets, but would be awesome for real control of swords, and spell casting by making shapes etc). Phantasy Star Online was really the first game of that type, it was awesome (amazing) and I would LOVE to see it be the first VR MMO . It would be so fitting.
