Yeah, there are always some music videos that make a point of not letting you hear the song--I'm sure there are plenty of better examples, but the one that always comes to my mind was the video for Phil Collins "Don't Lose My Number"; a bizarre meta take on a music video, parodying an assortment of other 80s music videos and movies, which takes a solid minute and a half before the song even starts.

To be fair, there's still more focus on the song than either of those Daft Punk videos, but for a while this was the only version of the song you could get on YouTube. They kept removing anyone's attempt to upload an actual version of the song, leaving you with this video or nothing. And if, like me, you were determined to listen to as many of Phil Collins' Greatest Hits as possible, you probably wouldn't be thrilled about being limited to the version where they have a meta conversation about what to do during the guitar solo during the guitar solo.

Either way, I wouldn't worry too much about posting such videos. This isn't exactly a formal music topic and the videos tend to be interesting; for what it's worth, I liked both Daft Punk videos. Da Funk was rather interesting--especially the debate between the band and the fans, with the band insisting that there is no meaning to the video and the fans insisting that there definitely was.

...not entirely sure how they can claim there's no symbolism at all--Charlie choosing the music over Beatrice seems like a pretty straight forward message, even if they somehow didn't intend for it to be one.
