Decided to go with "Songs About My Cats" today--it felt like the next logical step. After that Garfield album and some light praise for Age Of having a song with cat in the title, it really felt like I had to click on this particular album next.

It was good! Not quite as good as "Huge Chrome Cylinder Box Unfolding" (I've already gone back to
Li2Co3 multiple times and I'm now willing to call Li2 one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard), but it was a fun trip.

I think I'd give best song on the album to "For Bertha Rand". Probably not much of a surprise; Cat is fairly low on the list of forms that I'd like to take, but I can still appreciate the constant "I am a cat" message--add in some heavily distorted, almost demonic versions of that message and you've got a track that's practically made for me.

On a more unexpected note, I think I pick "Lioness" as second best. There's something about the track that feels like the final screen of an 8-Bit RPG. Like you save the generic princess and this songs starts playing as a generic "now you save princess and story is happy end, thank you from amusement creaters ! ! " message scrolls onto the screen. It's just nice and relaxing, bringing up some pleasant memories.

Also give high marks to "Look", though only being 30 seconds long hurts it somewhat--I'm left wanting more, which isn't exactly bad, but slightly disappointing?
