Write-Up:
Most commonly referred to as "Oh What a Night" this classic comes straight from the mid-70's. Even though I don't necessarily bump it all that high I find this to be one of the funnest Disco tunes to listen to. What does that mean exactly? Am I having a blast with life because of this tune? Nope not really. It just gets my head and knee bouncing and that's about it lol. I think it's neat that Bob Gaudio who co-wrote the song would eventually marry the woman he wrote the song with. That must have been some night am I right? The lyrics in the song even refer to the woman he would have been courting which as I mentioned would end up being the co-writer. The song was covered a couple times but I haven't heard a better version imo. The song saw new life when it was remastered and re-released in 1993 and spent an astounding 27 weeks on the Top 100 in 1993! Because of that and the original release presence on the charts the song has become one of the most present tunes to ever appear on the Billboard Top 100 with a combined 54 weeks. In all honesty... it probably should have been a little bit higher on the list but it isn't a song I exactly listen to on purpose so I'm fine with where I have it for now.
