The palm of a tiny hand: Well, I almost cried just looking at the image. Some number of years ago, I watched some random anime on the Anime Network. The only ones that I actually remember any specific details about were Revolutionary Girl Utena and Clannad After Story.

((I also recall watching some of Aria, but can't remember much other than gondolas and Zun Taka Po...something-something Zun! Also something called Alice Academy which I don't recall anything beyond the title? Haven't thought of that one for an eternity. Wonder if it was worth remembering? Probably not.))

Right, right, so Clannad. I'm not sure if I even knew it was a Visual Novel at the time and had no real idea what it was; I figured with the name "After Story" it had to be a sequel or epilogue, but jumped in with it anyway. It was free with the cable subscription (yes, I know that's not exactly "free", but let's not get into linguistic semantics) and I was bored, so why not?

...if I'd known what I was in for, I probably wouldn't have clicked it. That being said, I couldn't stop watching it and ultimately enjoyed the experience... just... really wasn't prepared for certain things. </.<



Rankings:

Clannad and Sonic are obviously the top two from this batch; I think I'm actually going to give Clannad first place tonight. A combination of being in the mood for that sort of song and the unexpected memories of that anime give it an edge over Sonic music...at this exact moment, anyway.

Keep Alive can be in third.

...harder to say after that. Leaning towards "Time Bomb > Lightning > Dedication > Battle Cry"? All good songs and I feel I could flip those into any order and be happy with the placement.
