(Silver points out, though notes it isn't necessarilly evidence, that Bladen County is the only county in the district where Rs held their ground compared to 2016, whereas in the others you see big shifts towards Dems. Also notes that it's also unclear that even if something did happen it's uncertain it'd swing the race, though he still says this whole situation is weird enough to call for AP and others to uncall the race.)


This is another crucial point. All the weirdness is localized in one county, and it isn't clear that even *if* something untoward happened with the absentee ballots that it would actually matter in terms of who won.

Again, there is no proof of anything yet, but there is at least enough circumstantial evidence to make the non-partisan board of elections not certify the race. BUT even if they did find something, I cannot say for sure the swing would be anything more than 100-200 votes, which isn't enough to do anything in this race. Worth looking into though, absolutely.
