He was running against a very unpopular senator, but the Dems in the house went from -20 to -3.5 and a lot of that was probably due to the strength of Beto. I am a bit more open to him as a national candidate now. I am still hoping for Klobuchar because I think she sweeps Michigan/Wisconsin/Pennsylvania/Iowa without even breaking a sweat.
