Even though I was still only a baby when he was in office, he's still the only president in my lifetime who won on his ability to govern, rather than just charisma winning a popularity contest. Plus, he did what needed to be done (raising taxes) even when it wasn't popular. Likewise, I was a baby so I don't remember him at all.
