You don't have any family or a girlfriend or anyone that would get you a present? I don't think there's anything sad about that. To some, Christmas, birthdays, or anniversaries are almost a "forced" obligation to do something nice or gift someone with something. Personally someone saying "I saw this on sale and thought you'll find it useful" at some random time in the year means more to me than someone making a purchase just for a birthday or Christmas. At least with the former they did it outside of such obligation plus they managed to get it on sale which is always a good thing. --- "You must gather your party before venturing forth" "Go for the eyes Boo!
