When it's an entirely new property, or one that was always black / female / whatever, that's an entirely different matter. And that's consistently the result. Retcon movies like Ghostbusters flop. New / were-always-that-way ones like Wonder Woman do really well. People trying to claim it's a result of "racism" / "sexism" / etc are wilfully ignorant of this fact. --- Nope.
