If I remember correctly, the spinoff takes place immediately after the original series, so there might be some spoilers in there. I wasn't planning on going back to watch the original series anyways (it's over 100 episodes) so hopefully I can watch this one and not be too lost without having seen the original. You will be pretty heavily lost. There's a lot of important terminology and lore that you will miss regarding the saints.
