Mayhem (Allstate commercials) Rating: 85 out of 100 Okay, when you take one of my favorite hidden gem actors and you throw him into the conceptual role of a lifetime, you're bound to land some solid gold. Mayhem is this hard-edged, spiteful version of Loki that I really like. His representation of chaos gives a little bit of malevolence to this godlike figure. It's an evil version of Hermes in a lot of ways, and his mercurial behaviors really just make him an enduring and endlessly entertaining advertising character. There really aren't any other interesting characters in that medium, are there? --- "It is too easy being monsters.
