I love the subtext and musing on heroism embodied in Satan's arc throughout PL. When I read the Bible, I was struck by how much I liked Pontius Pilate as a character. I think Satan is a similar character. There's a lot to dissect, a lot to learn about the nature of us as human beings, a lot to think on after you close the cover. That's the sign of a fantastic character, even if the character doesn't particularly strike a chord of personal taste for me. --- "It is too easy being monsters.
