I mean exactly what I said. What's confusing you, the part where I explained how the sharpening process works, or the part where I suggested that personal growth and sharpening really aren't analogous in any way? I didn't even go into the fact that a pocket knife doesn't grow into a katana, meaning your "beautiful metaphor" was actually just a series of disjointed similes. I figured that'd confuse you.

Not for the vast majority of people it isn't. In today's world, swords are predominantly decorative, whereas pocket knives are pretty handy for actual functional tasks.
