Write-Up: Boy it's a good thing I don't have a pair of scissors nearby because I'd dive them deep into the only good working ear drum I have atm. Why is this song so annoying exactly? I'm mortified that I had to give it such a high score for the beat and stickiness but it invades your brain some... how. There were soooo many memes created following this tune and among them the only one I really liked which was the piece with Obama singing it through clips. But honestly I eye-roll so hard whenever I hear any version of this song now. Does anyone else feel that way? The song of course propelled Carly Rae Jepson to a bit of temporary fame which pretty much only lasted up until they stopped playing this s*** on the radio. If there is anything that is the worse thing I'll never forget about 2012, it's probably these gdamn Bubblegum Pop songs. ====================================
