Write-Up: Holy nostalgia trip right here... for me anyway. I had recently split with a girl around the time this song was released and every time I hear it I think of her. It's a good thing my wife isn't reading these rankings though because it'd most definitely ruin the song for her. Wanna know the funny part here? She picked this song for the ranking although honestly it would have wound up here anyway as I most certainly would have selected it. Is it a bad thing when a song can invoke certain feelings from memories about another girl when you've been married for 16 years? lol. Damn. I love my wife and kids but that is a girl I wonder about. If there is ever an invention that allows us to travel to parallel universes I think I'd like to see how that one would have played out had it not ended the way it did in this one. :/ Unfortunately the message score tanks this song though. It's overly simple and rather redundant. Lenny Kravitz obviously wonders if he'll ever see an ex again. This song actually gave Kravitz his 3rd consecutive Grammy Award for Best Rock Vocal Performance in '01. ====================================
