Only a fool would die to save someone else. There's just so much more you can accomplish by being alive than by being dead, and even if something good came of your death, you would never know so it might as well not have happened.


There's so much more THEY can accomplish by being alive than by being dead, too.
And I care about other people so even though I may be dead, other people will live better lives, and that's enough to justify it

The impact of his actions is already felt enormously, could he really have done more had he not been made a martyr?


MLK isn't a hero because he was a martyr.
The civil rights movement could have "ended" much sooner, and it could have gone much farther. He could have been a huge voice in other fields, as well. Occupy Wall Street could have been really interesting with a man like him. I don't know.
