Write-Up:
Here is a chill song by none other than John Denver. Sunshine doesn't really get me high but I kinda understand John's revelation here and plenty of other folks apparently enjoy his sentiment too as this is right up there in the best of Denver's best. As soft as it may be, I really kinda like the guitar play here. It's simple to play is what most pro guitar players might tell you but that doesn't make the main riff any less intricate. It feels like a love song of sorts as most of John's work typically goes imo. This song isn't all that catchy to me but I don't mind stopping and listening to it ocassionally. There was a tv show titled Sunshine that used this tune as it's main theme and I think it got covered maybe a couple times but you should definitely not listen to them especially Carly Rae Jepson's version. Even though the song was a solid #1 hit, it actually didn't hit the top of the charts until 3 years after it's release in 1974 becoming the 18th best song of the year.
