Write-Up:
Gonna be honest here, I don't really like this song all that much. It's aggressively sharp tones and jagged rhythm isn't appealing in the least especially when I keep imagining that the lead singer is James Belushi. Why do I do that? ...uh, I have absolutely no idea.lol Perhaps it appeared in a movie with him in it at one point? I really don't know. Anyway, for anyone who isn't familiar with the band the lead member here by the name of Randy Bachman was actually a former member of the band The Guess Who. The song itself is a re-written song that he had worked on during his time with his previous band. Allegedly most people hated the chorus when he tested it with audiences which prompted him to re-write it. The original lyric of the song wasn't "takin' care of business" but a more awkward chanting of "white collar worker". Even just imagining the old lyric makes me like the song less for some reason lol. This song could arguably be the band's most notable song and it spent more time on the charts than any of their other songs with "You ain't seen nothing yet" in a close runner up position.
