Write-Up: Coincidentally enough this song was originally intended for Rihanna but it was rejected by her team according to an interview in Oct. 2013. Would it have made the song better? It seems right up her alley but I'm not so sure honestly but wouldn't that be funny if it was Rihanna and still landed behind Diamonds here in this ranking. I guess we'll never know. Anyway, some folks still think it is Rihanna since vocally Daya is a close match. Because of this one thing is clear that when they were selecting the vocalist, they had a specific sound in mind. The Chainsmokers is still a relatively new band to my listening experience but I don't mind a few of their songs. I don't know much about them unfortunately so there are no meaty morsels for you to chew on here in that regard. ====================================
