Write-Up: Making a stop in the 80's tonight we have some Hall and Oates. The 2nd #1 hit for the band from their 9th album ouch. Only 2 hit songs in 9 albums isn't too great. Their other hits must have come after this album because I know they have at least 5 or 6 don't they?... One significant and interesting fact about this song is that the video was one of the few songs to air on MTV's 1st day of broadcast. There hasn't been very many covers of this tune and it has seen few appearances in other media as well. I guess the band almost wasn't going to play this song but the band's manager loved it and persuaded the members to use it. It was originally written for the sister of Daryl Hall's longtime girlfriend as she was interested in a music career but it never happened. Janna was a frequent songwriter for the band even though she is rarely heard as a vocalist. ====================================
