==================================== { 782nd Place } [80's][ 168th Place] Song: "I Hate Myself For Loving You" Band: Joan Jett And The Blackhearts Album: Up Your Alley ---{ 1988 }--- Genre: Hard Rock Score:[8.3][8.2][6.3][8.2][3.2][4.3][9.3] = [47.8] = [6.828] Video:
Write-Up: Hey it's another semi-popular 80's tune by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts. I think the band received a Grammy nomination for this one but I don't think they won. It was the 3rd top 10 hit that the band had actually earned in their careers. There is actually a former Rolling Stone band member featured in the song that plays the solo. Not much of anything else to report here unfortunately. I remember it from my youth very well but I don't have any connecting memories that are worth exploring. I'm kind of curious how I let Crimson and Clover fall below this tune though tbh. There was a .3 difference in the score between the two so I could have fudged that somehow but I missed it. I actually do prefer the latter even though that wasn't demonstrated in the ranking. Oh well, It's close enough I guess. This is the 50th Hard Rock song to appear in the ranking. ====================================
