The story goes that Projared started a "fake" SEND ME NUDES forum on Tumblr, and it was initially condoned by his wife because it was apparently a "body positive safe space" or something. Of course, he used it as a platform to converse with girls and swap actual nudes, and some of those girls wound up being underage. I have no idea if he knew they were underage. If this ends up becoming actionable, it will probably be up to the court to decide whether or not he should have been accountable for knowing if they were underaged or not, because it's extremely irresponsible and an abuse of his popularity. Ignorance is typically a defense for this and it holds up in court normally when the party is either deceived or they were able to reasonably believe they were 18. I personally think it would be a hard sell for Jared's end to convince a court he reasonably believed they were all 18, because it's not like it's just one or two girls. It was an entire Tumblr and SnapChat channel anyone can join. This is all from my research of the legal precedence for that defense and I am in no way well-versed in criminal law, but that's what I gleen from this issue.
