Do you need to stay in CA for now?

I do not. I'd love to leave it behind, even.

I helped a friend find a few places in Brooklyn NY as well, and places for another in Portland Oregon, but most of them have been in or near Olympia WA where I live. Depends on where you are, but you can generally get a place ranging from $350 a month to $600 a month in the most expensive places, usually including utilities/internet.

My folks are in Centralia. Olympia seems nice if I can find a residence and a job. I'd ask my folks for help with such a move, but my stepdad would pick up and drive here when the man should not be straining his back for a bag of gromulch at this point, let alone moving boxes. I don't want to do that to him, ya know? At the same time any help you could give me in this would be most appreciated.

I can find you a place in SoCal pretty easy, if you have specific location or area in mind. Some places are far more expensive then others, but I can find you one under $700 anywhere (I mean, not Malibu heh....but anywhere logical).

I'd rather avoid places like Boron where my situation would only get worse. lol... Also, I vaguely recall the cheaper areas down here requiring a car to get anywhere, including work. At least fifteen years ago it was the case where people moved to this desert for low housing costs, and spent those savings or more on car-related payments to get to and from their places of employment.

All the more reason for me to get out of SoCal, this time for good. (I had lived in Salt Lake City for a couple years where it was nice)
