At least fifteen years ago it was the case where people moved to this desert for low housing costs, and spent those savings or more on car-related payments to get to and from their places of employment. All the more reason for me to get out of SoCal, this time for good. (I had lived in Salt Lake City for a couple years where it was nice) i'm guessing you are either in the San Fernando area, or the Antelope Valley?
