Now that we apparently know the episode count and that the manga has been complete for a while, a lot of the manga readers are saying that this will be enough to cover the whole manga in a much more satisfying way than the original series. I didn't read the manga or watch the original series, so I can't comment on that, but it's good news for those who did read/watch Fruits Basket back then. Since the current OP of the show has a "first season" subtitle, I would guess that the series would be split up and all 63 episodes won't air consecutively.
