I was extremely pumped to play through it two times as well. And it's no longer necessary to get both versions to have 2 save files without deleting your first save file to start a new game. Even though you're still limited to one save file for each user profile on your Switch, you can create a second user profile to get a second save file. This actually worked for Let's Go, so it's assumed that you can do it for Sword/Shield too. this is actually really useful to know, thanks luster Nrrr posted...
