It has pretty environments, logical puzzles, and freedom of choice- when you can't figure out something especially frustrating, you can just move on to another part of the island until you learn 'the trick' or just plain old have an epiphany. People have complaints about the game, but they're really not worth talking about. The Witness takes the good parts of myst (beautiful exploration and mystery) and mashes them together with the good parts of traditional puzzlers. Overall the game is super fair. There's a healthy dose of Jonathan Blow bloviation if you dig too deeply into the extra difficult content, but that's fine. I can't put this game higher because it's just a puzzler. It's not super fun to run around and there is little to no active story- although walking around and interacting with the environment is pleasant and there is lore to uncover. Just play it. I didn't like braid, but this is just fantastic. --- You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured. ...
