Those stats are impressive, but the only way to compare those guys to their contemporaries is going off of their accolades. You could make a case that 2 POY at their positions and that many Pro-Bowls means they are the best of the best (my criteria for HOF) but there are 8 Pro-Bowl OTs and 12 WRs each season. Who's to say they aren't just very good.

Does the game allow you compare career stats by position (going to guess "no", otherwise you'd have given those rankings, but I'm gonna ask anyway)? If so, is it too late to compare considering those guys are retired and removed from the player pool?

1. Remember that Pro Bowl selections are by conference, so there 4 OTs and 6 WRs per conference each season named to the Pro Bowl.

2. There is no career stats by position menu, but I can look at career stats for specific overarching categories like receiving and blocking. The problem is that it also includes stats carried over from applicable players' careers prior to B8NFLL, so I will have to do some additional work for receivers and rushers. Blocking as I said had 0s across the board from the get-go, so that will be easier to do.

3. I can still look at the stats of retired players for the time being, and they are also included in the overall career stats among all active players. I forget when that changes, but I want to say before the draft, so that won't be an issue.
