Why are we hunting SK.

Because!

But on a serious note, in my experience board mafia ignores third party possibilities too much. So, if I can say it enough times then hopefully it'll stick in people's minds and they'll use it in their reasoning for the rest of the game, instead of unknowingly (sometimes knowingly) assuming it can't happen.

Towns hunt scum. Scum hunts serial killers.

I have a longstanding belief that anyone who mentions serial killers early in a game of mafia is scum. I've caught a lot of people on that, because our games used to all have 20+ players, most had a third party, and someone would invariably slip up because they let their pregame slip out into the topic.

So if you're actually presenting an SK theory this early I'm probably going to lynch you.

I stand by what I said, this game feels like a candidate for third parties of some form. SK is the simplest example. But literally every time I bring it up in a board game people say it never happens. So, I'm going to mention it every time D1 that I think it's halfway reasonable. The shear repetition will help it stick and somewhat normalize the thought. Also, I'm having fun with the idea that Tom could be a scum SK trying to pocket Chris.

Tom do you have any roommate power reads right now my trust in pez has been immediately tested.

Not yet. Gut is slightly scum, brain is null. Last time I had a scum gut I couldn't really explain I was right though!

If it helps your gut, I have some thoughts I want to share D2 if they're still relevant then.
