As I said, if you read the full quote by "nothing will change" he means that if he raises taxes on the rich (which he plans to do) their quality of life will not suffer. Because he'll make it up to them in other ways. Maybe the tax rates go up but they get new deductions. Maybe they get to do more business offshore. Maybe they get more corporate welfare.
