So, I did say in the final match's thread that I had some more things to say about the contest than what I did mention. Well, here they are.

Exsphere's a really great song, so I'm happy to see it as the contest winner. There were definitely a number of songs in bracket D (and by extension, the other brackets in general) that I would've taken over Exsphere, but I still like it a lot, so I think it's a more than acceptable contest winner. With regards to the poll options, I'd place my opinion of Exsphere in between "top tier" and "decent winner," but I'm gonna vote top tier anyway because of how much I like it in the end and the fact that I do think that it's deserving of the title of VGMC champion.

As I said in the other thread, this was my first time participating in VGMC! I guess I should also say that I only actually joined the B8 community in around mid-February, so I'm a pretty recent participant in the overall community as well.

I really want to reiterate how much fun I had being a part of this year's VGMC and also expand on that a little. In the beginning, it was really exciting to not only participate in a big contest like this but also to have nominations of my own that made the cut. That excitement never really went away even after my nominations and many of my favorites were eliminated. It's also nice to see that my VGM tastes seem to line up very well with Board 8 tastes in general. Speaking of Board 8 tastes, now that I think I have a bit of a stronger grasp on what the board likes in VGM, it makes me look forward to VGMC14 even more since now I have some new ideas on songs that might do well, or at the very least have a decent shot at getting into the bracket.

With all that said, this was an amazing 3 and a half months or so of my time and I'm very much looking forward to do it again next year!

If any of you missed the nomination period for these ranking threads and want to participate in one or are just looking forward to more ranking threads for whatever reason, I believe there are other people who have not yet started a ranking thread but are considering making one at some point in the future, myself included. As for me, I'm not sure when exactly I'd like to start one up. Maybe after some of the ongoing ones have concluded, but I'd definitely like to make one at some point!
