Bonus Match 1 - Battle of the Champions:

Normally I just listen to the song at the top first, but I knew the quality of both songs beforehand, so I wanted to listen to the best one last. Now that I listen to EXSPHERE in a post-contest fashion, I think it's nice to hear it in that sense, although the "evil" parts it has hinder the quality of the "celebrational" moment it's in.

...Then I listened to Sunshine Coastline...

OH MY GOD!! VGMC12 really had an incredible quality. Despite not being one of the best songs last contest (that contest was insane), it still has an amazing quality and is ten times more deserving of the "Champion" title. It's quite interesting to have a battle of the "unstoppable in their respective contests" match. That's pretty hype, if you ask me.

Bonus Match 2 - Battle of the Calamities:

YEEES!! Thank you, azuarc! Brawl/Melee finally happened! Now I can know which song truly is better. *listens*...

I can't believe I don't have much to say about this particular, explosive encounter. Either way, 1NF3S+@+!0N has a catchy feel that's even kind of... funny, I guess? I mean, it's a dancing crabby we're talking about here. But that's only while directly comparing it to Servants, since the latter has an "extremely hard boss battle, but not necessarily the last one" feel, which is great, while also sounding more "serious".

I had the feeling I was going to side with Servants upon coming in, but wow, this is closer than I thought it would be. The thing is, 1NF3S+@+!0N has a super catchy beat and a perfect pace to accompany it and make the beat shine, but even if Servants is a lot more varied and has some amazing parts going for it at many points throughout, the main part (the one that lasts around 2 minutes and loops later on; you could even say the "meat" of the song) is a little weaker than 1Nf3$+@+!0N's entirety, but the amazing parts are a little better, so that's a real headscratcher.

I can't believe that one of the closest matches of the whole contest is one of the very last matches, but it makes sense, and it's what was intended from the beginning. (I also can't believe I just realized the "S" is actually a "$".)

Bonus Match 3 - Battle of the Weepy and Maybe a Little Cheesy Farewells:

I didn't think I'd come across two songs with such a similar style and feel. It's almost as if it was sung by the same singer. But the one from Xenogears is softer, cleaner, prettier, and overall, better.

However... This spoke to my heart: ...There's someone testing me every day I live... Well, the best of me is all I have to give.
