It is the same reason I don't like Dragon Ball Z (which come to think of it, is very similar to Captain Marvel in a way...) but like the original Dragon Ball. In Dragon Ball Goku was always super powerful, but the challenge came from actually learning techniques and how to counter his opponents. In Z, he would just morph into the next level of Super Saiyan. The iteration of Captain Marvel (or I guess more specifically Carol Danvers) I liked was the one in Jessica Jones, because they made her more human. --- I am a senior software engineer.
