It's also called playing to your audience. When at least half, if not closer to 3/4, the audience for most of those types of movies is straight guys then why would you include scenes of gay men making out? Its not a matter of hating gay people, generally guys just don't want to see other guys going at it. Now if it had been two women then no one would care or everyone would love it.

The gay population is about 4.5% so if you were to say half are men half are women that leaves 2.25% plus the few women that get turned on by guy on guy stuff, so maybe 5% of your audience would like it. Now on the reverse you take that 2.25% gate women and take into account surveys have shown over 70% of guy's number one fantasy is a 3some, then that's at least 75% of your audience that would like two women making out.

TLDR, most people don't hate gays, as witnessed by the majority support for same sex marriage now, they would rather just see two chicks making out instead of two guys.

This is a horrible argument. Anime titty lovers and weeb fans are also a minority, perhaps even more so than gay movie goers. The average person wouldnt care or outright supports video game characters being less sexualized as can be seen by more and more studios appealing to a more prude crowd. Arguing ad populum is counter to an anti-censorship stance which I know you hold. In fact, popularity is the weapon for censorship if the majority of people think its gross then it shouldnt be shown, so you using that is extremely short-sighted.

Demographics are literally how movies are funded and made. What do you think focus groups are? Every single business in the world uses them. If the majority of your customers don't like something then you don't do it. That is business 101. That is how the world works regardless of whether you like it or not or think it should. Any type of product or service advertised towards gay people does the same thing. If their customer base is overwhelmingly gay then they aren't going to cater to straight people and lose/annoy their current customers.

If you want to ignore how businesses have been run for decades and go another route instead then we can: gay scenes weren't needed in those movies. I have never seen th3 Descendents so I can't comment on that, but sticking in some random gay background character in the other three adds nothing to the other movies at all. The Jurassic series has never played up romantic relationships, so why start now for background characters?

In FK there wasn't any relationships except the aftermath of the two main characters who had a relationship off-screen between movies. Thor and BP didn't really have any relationships at all except for T'Challa's ex/old flame/whatever exactly helping out. How does putting in random gay scenes help the plot? It doesn't. If the actual main characters in these movies aren't being shown in relationships then why do we need scenes of nobodies that doesn't help the plot at all?

Also as an aside, the studios "going after" or more like bowing down, to the more prude crowd, or sjw crowd, tend to have their games fail miserably. The people whining for it to be changed don't actually have an interest in the game, and since the studio changed what the game/series/franchise used to be they pissed off the already existing fanbase who told the studio to go fuck themselves and they didn't buy it either. Mass Effect Andromeda is a perfect example of this. It got the studio that made it shut down and the franchise put on the shelf for years to come.
