The Zora power is a literal lifesaver in the early game, but becomes fairly useless once your armor and health are higher and you have access to better food. The Gerudo power is fun and can obliterate some of the stronger enemies so it's nice to have once enemies start getting stronger. The Goron power seems to make me play worse and has an annoying visual effect. I recommend you do it in that order. Holding off on the Rito is just making life more tedious than needed.
