Either way, back to Iran. There will be no war whatsoever.

So they'll come to the bargaining table then? Or let their country crumble to dust under the sanctions?

I don't know. At this point I think nobody can tell the outcome. I'm sure that you're aware, and that goes for any crisis, not just this one, that the pompous muscle-flexing aimed at the general public, and the more rational under the table negociations are two different things. I guess the wisest thing is to wait and see.
It is true however that, while imperfect, the Vienna Agreement (the JCPoA) was at least bringing Iran to the negociations table, and keeping them well under the threshold of military uranium enrichment. It was a good thing. In its idiocy, the current US diplomacy (which, as a side note, seems unable to free itself from the shackles of the Brzezinski doctrine, which sadly still seems to guide the entire US foreign affairs stance) chose the worst possible moment to break it.
We had an imperfect, but at least mostly functional agreement, which, no matter how much Bolton lies about it, was respected by Iran. Now the US threw it out the window, so of course Iran will feel tempted to do the same. It's never simple, but stupidity and lack of a vision in diplomatic affairs always tends to have dire consequences for all parties.
