Yes... but get two. They like company. Two is easier than one.

From my extensive cat experience if I could start again from no cats, I'd get bonded adults. Lower energy, social, already have a friend, they settle in easier too.

Just properly catify your apartment and you'll be fine

But wouldnt it be way too small for two cats? Already feel like a one bed apartment is too prison-like for one cat.

And Id of course give it toys and stuff but wouldnt to completely turn it into a cat jungle, still want it to feel like a home. Sounds like two cats would be too much? Theres a brother and sister going for sale though, was thinking of getting the girl only.

Cats like vertical space. Give the cats things to climb and perch on and their living area is much bigger. Any animal kept strictly indoors needs their environment tailored and enriched. You don't have to go crazy. If it seems like too much then maybe reconsider the commitment of a pet.

I have 3 cats in a 700 sq ft 1 bedroom. It's not ideal, but they are doing just fine with it. It's laid out well with windows and a pretty long way to run. You should play with your cat every day and that helps keep them happy and calm. Older cats also don't really care to run around nearly as much.

Any reason why you'd buy and not adopt?

Never looked into adopting. Im very specific about what I want - white kitten with pink nose, green/blue (or both) eyes. If I can get a kitten for free by adopting I wouldnt mind either tbh.

Good to know its not too small an apartment then if youve got three cats in 700ft2.
