I was going to make this point but you worded it better than I would have. After a while, it seems common for the guy to stop trying to be romantic and trying to "woo" her. He stops doing the little things to make her feel loved/special and even desirable.

It's very rare that you'll find a woman with a sex drive that can match the average man's, but it seems like earlier in the relationship they try a lot harder as well. They'll almost never turn down sex, BJs are plentiful, they'll ride the shit out of you often, etc. It's almost a direct parallel to diminishing romantic gestures, it seems over time they become less active in the bedroom or less receptive to sex. They might also "let themselves go" physically (which men are also prone to doing, let's be honest) but with women it can make them feel less sexy and less down for sexual activity whereas guys don't really give a shit if they have a gut or whatever.

I mean, I've been seeing the same girl for nearly four years and we usually end up doing it twice a day on average when we do see each other. We don't live together though, and I don't know if I would ever want to get married because then it's too easy for both people to become complacent like "I own you now, so I no longer need to continue doing the things that won you over in the first place." It seems like a good percentage of marriages are like this, maybe even half. I guess that's just a testament to marriages needing work though, particularly when the honeymoon period has concluded.
