Sakurai has made it clear that bringing everyone back is not the best use of resources and is also near impossible because of the copyright information involved with every character and every company connected to the characters; that also includes the rights for the music and other affiliated properties. Smash has nearly 80 fighters by the end of the DLC, but IF and that's a big IF, there's another Smash game it's 99 percent likely that the roster gets gutted. How much is unknown, but it is still an act expected. Sure, all the other companies involved can give Sakurai full privilege with whatever he needs and smooth the process, but it still ends up being an uphill battle that he himself has already noted is NOT the best approach. --- ...
