Like, it sucks she's been abused, but that's just her being petty. If he's such a danger that he may kill her, then he'll just get another gun and do it. There's nothing of what she's done that can reasonably be called self-protection. Hopefully she fully leaves him and goes somewhere out of his reach if he's that much of a danger.
