It's pretty normal for KCF to have high picks as he trades away high level talent basically every year. Works out for everyone. I'm sure KCF would love to keep all his elite players but the salary cap plus RFA means he's somewhat of a farm team. He gets multiple high picks, he develops them, he then has to shift previous high picks to keep players happy/cap under control and then only trades that make sense are for more draft picks.
