That's how people with NPD tend to act. They want to have the best of everything in order to feed their ego--the latest tech gadgets, the fastest cars, the hottest wives. And they'll break the law or exploit others with little or no remorse to get these things they feel they deserve. They tend to avoid responsibility for their actions, and have an excessive need to be affiliated with people/institutions of high status. They also tend to assume they're destined for greatness, which flies in the face of reality where there's no such thing as guaranteed outcomes. However, I'm not a psychologist. Even if I was, I couldn't diagnose you over the internet. But you remind me a lot of NPDs I've met in the past, so that's why I'm gently suggesting you seek a professional opinion. Psychotherapy can help you be more self-aware and avoid your own worst impulses, which will help you become more successful. A lot of people with NPD tend to think they're fine, and everyone else is the problem, so it's hard to get through to them.
