There are countries in the single market and/or customs union but not the EU. Norway most famously. You wouldn't say Norway are in the EU. You can absolutely leave the EU without leaving those which was the official view of the leave campaign during the referendum. "Nobody is talking about threatening our place in the single market", etc. You love commenting on brexit, but you don't even seem to understand what the EU is. Or how the UK works.
