actually interesting how trump's slogan during the north carolina rally was "keep america great." apparently he (or his team) has enough self-awareness to realize that even he can't get away with simultaneously saying "make america great again" and "omar should leave the country for saying make america great again."

of course, the slogan makes little sense in the grand scheme of things, though. like, does this mean trump has now accomplished his mission of making america great again? how? there's still no wall.

I'm tired of this weak shit I have seen from so many dems, warren and pelosi among them, saying "uh what the president said/did was racist" but refusing to call him a racist. its weak, it makes nobody happy, its pointless and shows no leadership. That is another reason I don't understand anyone going for people besides Bernie, he is the one leading out there. He is leading on policy, and the one with the most political courage. One of the other candidates might be able to win, but I see very little evidence of any of them being equipped to lead the party.

yeah, it's kinda dumb how warren and pelosi are outraged about this but didn't make as big a deal out of the gazillion other racist comments trump has made over the years. i kinda agree with extha about there being no reason to be shocked about this (though i'm not sure if anyone is still shocked, either).

honestly, if i had to rank all of trump's racist comments by how offensive they were, i wouldn't put the omar comments at the top of the list. i personally thought "judge curiel is a bad judge because he's hispanic" was a lot worse.

House Dems (under anonymity) attack 'The Squad". Apparently, they're so afraid of four freshman democrats, that they won't reveal who they are. They're upset that they support the right of Americans to boycott Israel (how terrible!) and that AOC called Trump's concentration camps what they are. And of course, the right-wing talking point that Omar and Tlaib (both Muslims, hmmm..) are anti-semitic. But then they get to what they're REALLY mad about -- the fact that AOC will support primary challengers to them. Which is what it's really about. All they really care about is getting re-elected. Which means--they've gotta go. If they're going to be anonymous about it, they shouldn't be allowed to send it out in the press. If you're a politician, you should either put your name to it, or don't say anything at all.

Well, Omar is Muslim and Bernie is Jewish. Bernie and Trump were born in the same city (Brooklyn). Bernie has a national following.

Funny enough the only people who insist Trump isn't racist/fascist/only cares about the rich are the same people who insist the civil war wasn't completely over the institution of slavery, or somehow think Lincoln being "a republican" is relevant information to modern discourse.
