That's the exact opposite of how ignoring people works. You ignore somebody, you stop seeing them. They can still see you. For that matter, the fact that you spend enough time talking about users you've ignored to even consider what they can see is kind of hilarious. The bigger problem there would be if you've ignored someone and they're following you around and slagging you off in every topic you post in, or otherwise posting heinous shit you'd be inclined to report to the mods. Considering the implied purpose of the ignore function, it might actually be more useful if it hid you from the people you're ignoring as much as it hides them from you.
