It's not even autism, it's just asperger' s

Asperger syndrome doesn't even exist anymore. It's all been lumped together into "Autism spectrum disorder," with qualifiers added to that diagnosis to indicate the severity and the level of function.

It's not that it doesn't exist anymore. It didn't just suddenly vanish because people reclassified it in the DSM V. That's not how it works

The symptoms exist, sure, but "it's not autism it's asperger's" is no longer a valid statement because asperger's is no longer a distinct diagnosis from autism. They're all lumped together into ASD.

So people don't have any forms of autism, it's just "autism" from now on. It'll be reversed back soon enough, especially for classification purposes. People will want to know what their kids have, not just "autism"
