The pull out method is 96% effective if done properly, which is actually higher than the effectiveness of birth control pills. A lot of people stay in too long and don't use the method properly. What does "96% effective" mean? Because if it means what I think it means (1/25 times you are effectively having unprotected sex) and a BABY is at risk of being created those are some pretty bad odds. I still don't get how people who are otherwise smart and also know that they are not ready to have a baby are ok with those kinds of odds. On the year, of 100 women use exclusively that method, 4 of them will get pregnant. In a year. 96% is pretty fucking effective. "On the year"? How often are the people having sex? That's got to effect things.
