Thanks for actually posting, but again you need to be careful about doxxing yourself!

Anyway, I want you to know that whatever the lady in the first video (was it the bursars office?) said to you probably should not be entirely trusted unless she sends you a written official email. People make promises over the phone all the time and sometimes these are unenforceable because it turns out a worker messed up and gave you faulty information. If its just a phone call, you have no evidence and they can plausibly deny.

plus, when she talked about collections you should probably not treat that lightly. She said they will keep assessing a late payment fee on the outstanding balance (0.5%?) and that could be a huge barrier in your future life. I dont understand... youre politically conservative but you are willing to put yourself in huge student loan debt? I thought you guys were not fond of liberal arts majors who catch debt and need to work a service job for some time before moving on with their lives.

Lastly, the financial aid office seemed super helpful. You should have asked if you can defer your acceptance into the spring semester so that you can actually get financial aid from FAFSA. Plus, wherever you end up going to school, you should definitely investigate whether they can put your bill into a deferred payment plan/installment plan if you want to have extra time to come up with the entire balance.
