Probably going to start watching Tokyo Ravens. Saw it in my Hulu feed and it looked kinda interesting.

Also tempted to read the Kengan Ashura manga after spoiling most of the series (to some extent) via wikiwalking.

The Play Store alerted me to the existence of a new Nintendo mobile game called Pokmon Masters, releasing August 29. Judging from the roster, it almost looks like the Fire Emblem Heroes of the Pokverse (i.e. involving Trainers, Gym Leaders, etc. from several different games). Might have to give it a try ... if my phone will be able to run it.

I've seen ads for it, but the concept doesn't interest me. T0ffee posted...
I have been TEARING through Mario Odyssey lately. The game is just so much fun to control and move around in. Plus, the constant feeling of progress of getting moon after moon after moon after moon, is just so addicting that I'm already halfway through the game. (I think, I just unlocked the luncheon kingdom)

SO to pace myself and savor the game more (and actually play something that's relevant to the topic), I've started Ys VIII.

First impressions: it immediately hooked me in better than Shining Resonance Refrain. Although I gotta say, the framerate in cutscenes get noticeably choppy. Also, I already noticed two grammatical errors in just the prologue alone. That doesn't bode well.

Still, the combat is fast-paced and snappy, and the framerate is relatively stable in combat even when there's a lot going on. I can tell I'm gonna like this one way more than Shining Resonance.

Mario Odyssey looks interesting, but I can't justify paying full retail for it (and a number of other Switch titles). Plus at some point I need to hook up the Wii again since I still have SMG2 in my queue >_>

Well... fuck.

Who knew those wired Switch controllers were so damn fragile?

I dropped it from like 10 inches off the ground and now the left stick's drifting already.

I just bought the damn thing this Monday. Aren't these things supposed to undergo crash and fall resistance tests?

Bah.

At least I can still get it replaced at the store.

I still need to buy a conventional controller because the joycons are kinda painful for fighting games.
